Break up with your bad routine

ree

Do it with the Yoga desk! maybe you already heard about these, but you don't have an idea what's or maybe you already started with your list of but...I never practised yoga, I'm not flexible, I have body aches and more.

For this type of yoga, you will need a chair. Yes! a chair, the same that you are using now, your desk and 5' to 15'. Come on, is not that bad or I'm wrong? Even if you are on your heels and on your working dress you can do it and you will see the yoga benefits.

Now let’s talk about the importance of yoga at your desk and why it’s good for you:

1. Helps to reduce neck, shoulder and back Pain

Remaining in the same position over a prolonged period result in shortened hip flexors and tight hamstrings that can affect the position of your pelvis. Correct skeletal alignment is dependent on muscle tone and elasticity, and when muscle tension becomes unbalanced, the joints are compromised. Biomechanically speaking, the misalignment of one joint forces other parts of the body to compensate to achieve balance.

Regular yoga practice helps to relieve pain and/or prevent back pain from developing, in part by helping practitioners engage and strengthen their core muscles. Often under-utilised, these muscles play a crucial role in providing stability in the abdominal and lumbar (lower) back region and helping the spine become properly aligned.

Yoga practitioners experience significant increases in strength, muscle endurance and flexibility, which helps to reduce or prevent back pain. In addition to the musculoskeletal benefits, regular yoga practice also promotes the release of natural painkillers in the form of endorphins.

2. Yoga reduces stress and tension

The sedentary nature of modern office jobs and the long hours not only affect physical wellbeing negatively but also cause chronic stress. Under stress, our bodies go through a series of biochemical and involuntary hormonal changes. The sympathetic nervous system sends messages to muscles, organs and glands that help the body to react, and this automatic stress response puts our bodies in alarm mode.

After yoga practice, you will not only feel more relaxed but your nervous systems will also be balanced. In the short term, all these effects are adaptive and help you to prepare for responding to the stressor. However, chronic stress weakens our immune system and is linked to many serious diseases such as heart disease, neurological disorders and stomach ulcers—to name but a few. Researchers in the European Journal of Clinical Investigation found that 6 weeks of consistent yoga practice increased the activation of the parasympathetic nervous system and decreased the influence of the sympathetic nervous system.

3. Yoga improves concentration and focus

Researchers at Wayne State University in Detroit, USA discovered that a single yoga class significantly improved a person’s speed and accuracy when tested on their working memory and concentration. The enhanced self-awareness a yoga practice brings enables you to focus more effectively. Attention to breathing helps you clear out the mental clutter, making you feel more centred and alert.

4. Yoga shifts your perception

Feeling positive has everything to do with the biochemical reactions in your body. Yoga triggers the release of oxytocin, which floods your body with feelings of happiness and well-being. More and more, doctors are recommending the mind-body connection achieved through yoga as one of the best and most natural ways to elevate your mood and deal with stress. When we feel unified and connected, we access a spaciousness within, a well of joy that shifts the way we see and interact with the world.

And if all the reasons on top weren’t

enough Yoga improves your digestive system, regulate hormones, may help to prevent disease, detoxifies the body and the best YOGA IS FOR EVERYONE.
